Riley Keough has shared that she continues to feel a spiritual connection with her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley. According to Keough, she has been receiving unusual signs that reassure her their bond remains strong even after Lisa Marie’s passing. She describes these experiences as both mysterious and comforting during a time marked by loss and family tension.
Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, died suddenly at age 54 in January 2023 due to complications from bariatric surgery which led to a small bowel obstruction. She left behind three children — daughter Riley, 36, and twins Harper and Finley, 17. Lisa Marie also mourned her son Benjamin, who took his own life in 2020 at the age of 27.
Following Lisa Marie’s death, a legal dispute arose between Riley and her grandmother Priscilla Presley over control of the late singer’s estate. Though settled later, Priscilla was drawn into a separate financial conflict with former advisers involving claims that she had made questionable decisions regarding her daughter’s medical care.
“I feel like my mom sends me weird signs,” Riley Keough shared. “It’s her way of letting me know she’s still with me somehow.”
While promoting the paperback release of her memoir From Here to the Great Unknown, Keough said that these signs have provided peace and strength as she continues to navigate her mother’s legacy and the emotional aftermath of her family’s struggles.
