Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

Temporary route adjustments will affect some bus services on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November, across the county. While the parades notified to NCT are listed below, other brief disruptions may occur.

Remembrance Observance by Bus Drivers

At 11am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will observe a two-minute silence. Where it is safe, they will park their buses, turn off engines, and invite passengers to join in this national remembrance.

Free Travel for Service Personnel

NCT offers free travel from 8th to 11th November 2025 inclusive to all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. Passengers should either show valid ID or be in uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Service Diversions on 9 November

Calverton Parade Impact

On Sunday 9th November from 09:00 to 12:00, the Sky Blue 61 route will be affected by a parade in Calverton. The following stops will not be served:

East Leake Main Street Closure

Main Street in East Leake will be closed on Sunday 9th November between 10:30 and 11:45. South Notts 1 service will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.

NCT invites all passengers to join in the two minutes silence by parking buses and turning off engines where safe during the national remembrance at 11am.
