I want to begin by expressing my regret over Senator Dolega's remarks and the offensive accusations made against coalition senators and members. According to Labor, it now seems offensive to drape oneself in the Australian flag and express pride in it.
I’ll take that interjection, Senator Dolega. That is exactly what you said. You criticised some of us for having the audacity to drape the Australian flag around us, to be proud of our country. How dare you suggest that is dog whistling!
Through you, Chair, how dare Senator Dolega label pride in our country and flag as dog whistling. So many wish to live here because Australia is a great nation with one of the most successful migration histories worldwide.
