Rodborough & Wallbridge Community Interest Company (CIC) has received £12,690 in National Lottery Awards for All funding to support a series of improvements at the Wallbridge Fields site in Stroud. The award, announced on November 6, 2025, was confirmed by The National Lottery Community Fund, which supports initiatives that help communities flourish.
The funding, made possible by National Lottery players, will enable a range of local enhancements designed to make Wallbridge Fields a more enjoyable place for residents and visitors while enriching its natural environment. Over the next two years, community events will be organized to celebrate and involve residents in the ongoing developments.
“We are thrilled to have received this support from the National Lottery Community Fund. This grant will allow us to make real improvements to Wallbridge Fields, ensuring it remains a welcoming and inspiring space for local people, while enhancing its value for nature,” said Liz Hillary, one of the directors of the CIC.
“We are hugely grateful to the National Lottery Awards for All programme, and to everyone in the community who continues to enjoy and support this special place.”
National Lottery funding will revitalize Wallbridge Fields, supporting nature, community spirit, and local engagement in Stroud over the next two years.
