Nevada prison inmate, former NFL star O.J. Simpson's parole hearing set for July

The Nevada Department of Corrections announced that former football star Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson will have a parole hearing in July. The exact date has not yet been determined, but it is expected to occur sometime that month.

Simpson has been serving a 33-year sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in northeastern Nevada since 2007. He was convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon following an incident in Las Vegas.

The 69-year-old was previously acquitted in the 1995 murder trial of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, who were discovered stabbed to death at Brown Simpson’s Los Angeles home on June 13, 1994.

If eligible, Simpson could be granted parole in October.
