Fifteen sports clubs across Offaly have been recognised for their exceptional dedication to promoting health and wellbeing among members and local communities.
In 2025, these clubs officially earned the status of “Healthy Clubs” as part of the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs programme, an initiative designed to strengthen community health, inclusion, and engagement through Gaelic sports.
“This achievement is the result of nearly two years of devoted volunteer work to ensure the GAA remains a national leader in health, inclusion, and community spirit.”
Seven clubs were recognised for the first time, while eight renewed their accreditation for another two years, reflecting their sustained commitment to the programme’s goals.
The recognition of fifteen Offaly GAA clubs highlights the power of community sports to drive lasting wellness, inclusion, and local engagement throughout Ireland.
