Canon has officially introduced the highly anticipated EOS R6 Mark III, a full-frame mirrorless camera that bridges professional and enthusiast-level performance. Following two teaser campaigns, this new release showcases significant upgrades for both photographers and videographers.
The EOS R6 Mark III captures full-resolution RAW images with autofocus at up to 40 frames per second via its electronic shutter, and 12 frames per second using the mechanical one. This ensures flexibility for both action photography and precision shooting.
A CFexpress Type B card slot doubles the buffer depth compared to the previous model. The new camera also introduces pre-continuous shooting, a feature inspired by Canon’s professional EOS R1 and R5 II models.
“The R6 III inherits Canon’s latest and most powerful autofocus system, delivering improved subject tracking and recognition over the R6 II.”
This new autofocus technology ensures quicker response and more accurate detection, benefitting fast-moving subjects and challenging lighting conditions alike.
The Canon EOS R6 Mark III advances the R6 series with a 32.5MP sensor, faster processing, expanded buffer, and pro-grade autofocus, redefining hybrid versatility for photo and video shooters.
