Videos shared on social media show 33-year-old Hyuna performing her 2011 hit Bubble Pop! when she fainted suddenly during the Waterbomb Macau music festival on November 9.
Two backup dancers quickly helped her, and a security staff member carried her off the stage, according to News.Az citing foreign media sources.
The incident reignited concerns about Hyuna’s health, with fans awaiting official updates on her condition.
"Hyuna took to Instagram later on November 9 to apologise and reassure fans she was fine. 'I’m truly sorry,' she wrote in Korean. 'It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.'"
She added that she had no memory of fainting and expressed regret towards fans in Macau who paid to see her perform.
"I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently. It will be so great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best."
Hyuna, full name Kim Hyun-ah, is a former member of popular K-pop groups such as Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H.
On October 3, she raised concern among followers with an Instagram post about her eating habits and weight, addressing herself in the third person:
"Hyun-ah, you ate way too much. Let’s snap out of it and go on a strict diet. You liked being skinny, right?"
This admission added to worries about her health prior to the fainting incident.
