Madison Beer on the maturity and emotions of 'locket': 'I wasn't anticipating to cry'

Madison Beer Reflects on the Emotional Journey of Her Album 'locket'

Amid a series of significant moments, singer Madison Beer joined Bru in our Los Angeles studio shortly after walking the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She also shared exciting news about her upcoming album, locket, set for release on January 16.

Announcement and Emotional Response

Just hours before recording with Bru, Madison revealed on her social media that locket, her fourth album, would drop on January 16. She is credited as both writer and co-producer.

"I wasn't anticipating to cry after I posted it," Madison admits. "Right before I posted it I had like a sample of the vinyl in my bed, and I just went live for literally 30 seconds and flashed it to get people excited. I started shaking, ended the live, posted the announcement, and then weirdly immediately started hysterically crying. I don't know why."

Meaning Behind the Album

Madison describes this release as a significant turning point in her life and career.

"I think it's kind of the end of an old chapter, the beginning of a new one. There's just so much, so many feelings that come along with it, but yeah, I was hit with like a wave of emotion."

Summary

This album signifies both a closure and new beginning for Madison Beer, filled with deep emotions she hadn’t expected to confront publicly.
